12. the railway station

To locate the old RAILWAY STATION move back to the start of Bodmin Street and turn right onto Chapel Street. Follow the road down the hill and, before the bridge, turn right towards Waitrose supermarket along Station Road.

If you make your way across the car park, you will find the Blue Plaque exactly where the original railway platform was (adjacent the trolley park).

The Railway station transported the POW's as well as the arriving evacuees. Their adventures in Holsworthy began here!
