Opposite the Manor Car Park you will find The Elms', the former home of Hollywood actor RICHARD TODD. The Elms' was also the home, during the war, of Dr CHARLES EVANS, who along with Fred Bate, were the first people on the scene of the Halifax Bomber crash, killing everyone on board.
